Ilya started a professional career as a correspondent at Segodnya newspaper. After that he was a correspondent of Interfax news agency.

From 1997 till 2007 Ilya worked as a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Avtomir magazine at Hubert Burda Media.

From 2008 till 2010 he was an editorial director at Auto Plus TV-channel, then a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Za Rulem – Region newspaper.

Until May 2016 Ilya Mezhibovskiy was the Editor-in-Chief at Auto Plus TV channel. From October 2016 he is a columnist of Quto.Ru portal (one of Rambler holding projects).
