After finishing music school Nikolay served 3 years on a submarine as a turbine service man. Then he worked at the foreign trade association Autoexport and after that as commercial director at Klaxon newspaper.
At the same time Nikolay entered the Faculty of journalism of MGU (the Moscow State University).
He started his professional career at the ORT (currently Perviy Kanal – The First TV-channel) in a program “In a world of engines”. Работал также оператором и редактором на каналах «2х2» и МТК в передаче «АвтоМотоМир». Позже на ТВ-6 в передаче «Автосфера».
In 2000 Nikolay became a deputy Editor-in-Chief of XXL-Auto magazine, subsequently in 2002 – a deputy Editor-in-Chief of Automobili magazine. In 2004 - 2010 Nikolay worked as an editor of special projects department at the Russian office of Тop Gear magazine. In 2010 he came into office of Editor-in-Chief at AutoMir magazine published by Hubert Burda Media.
Currently Nikolay is a managing editor of Classic & Sports Car magazine.
